The 10 mm pellets are the largest standard size. Due to the significant mass per grain, the ratio between surface area and volume is minimal, resulting in the slowest sublimation rate of all pellet sizes. This makes them the most efficient choice for long-term cooling processes.

Specific Safety Information (10 mm)
- Weight: 25 kg of 10 mm pellets often takes up slightly more space in volume than 3 mm pellets due to the gaps between the large grains; keep this in mind when choosing your cooler.
- Handling: The larger grains are easy to handle with a scoop or gloves. The risk of "spilling" is smaller, but it remains crucial to wear cryogenic gloves; 10 mm pellets are extremely cold and immediately freeze the epidermis upon contact.
- Gas Pressure: The same rule applies to 10 mm pellets: never seal airtight. It still sublimes into gas; the pressure must be able to escape, regardless of pellet size.
- Ventilation: Even with the slowest sublimation rate (10 mm), the CO₂ emission of 25 kg remains significant. Always ensure sufficient ventilation in the car or storage area to prevent CO₂ accumulation.
