An aluminum carbon dioxide (CO₂) B10 cylinder with a capacity of 10 kg of liquid  CO₂ (water capacity approx. 13.4 liters) is specially designed and optimized for the strict requirements of the food and beverage industry. Thanks to the combination of a large volume, high-grade purity, and a lightweight aluminum body, this cylinder is the ideal choice for intensive, professional use where hygiene and ease of use are paramount.

Important info!

Key Applications in the Food Sector:

  • Beverage Industry & Events: Continuously and reliably dispensing and carbonating large volumes of beer, soft drinks, and cider, ideal for busy hospitality venues, festivals, and mobile bars.
  • Sparkling Water Production: Perfect for large-scale professional water systems, water coolers, and hospitality venues with a high consumption of sparkling water.
  • Packaging Technology (MAP): Efficiently packaging food products under a modified atmosphere (Modified Atmosphere Packaging) to optimally preserve shelf life, taste, and freshness.
  • Agro & Industry: Supporting applications within the food and agricultural sector, such as the precise pH regulation of water streams or applications in greenhouse horticulture.
Product details

Carbon dioxide (CO₂) gas cylinder, filled with 10 kg of CO₂, specifically developed for food-grade applications (built for long-term and professional use).

Transport:

  • Fixation: Despite the lower weight due to the aluminum material, a 10 kg cylinder remains a substantial load. Ensure a solid vertical fixation with ratchet straps in your vehicle.
  • Protection: Aluminum is softer than steel and can get dented more easily in the event of collisions. Be careful during loading and unloading and always ensure that the protective cap is screwed onto the valve as soon as the cylinder is not in use.

Specific safety information for the B13 (Aluminium):

  • Always upright: Although aluminum is a different material than steel, the internal physics remain the same: the cylinder must stand upright at all times. In a lying position, liquid CO₂ can reach the pressure regulator, leading to acute freezing and potential rupture of the regulator.
  • No oil or grease: Although helium and CO₂ are different gases, the rule for all gas cylinders applies: oil and grease on the connection are strictly prohibited to prevent contamination.
  • Risk of freezing (Joule-Thomson effect): When withdrawing 10 kg of CO₂, the chance of the valve freezing is very high during intensive use. Use a powerful pressure regulator and consider (depending on the application) a heating element to ensure a constant flow and prevent freezing of the regulator's internal diaphragm.
  • Oxygen monitoring: A 10 kg CO₂ cylinder contains a significant amount of gas. In the event of a leak in a relatively small room, the oxygen concentration can drop dangerously. Ensure good ventilation and preferably CO₂ detection if the cylinder is placed in an enclosed space.
