A steel carbon dioxide (CO₂) B07 cylinder with a large capacity of 5 kg of liquid CO₂ (water capacity approx. 7.6 liters) is fully tailored to the strict requirements of the food and beverage industry. Thanks to its larger capacity, this cylinder is exceptionally well-suited for intensive and large-scale use where a constant gas flow and maximum reliability are essential.

Key Features & Specifications for Food Applications:

  • Foodgrade Quality (Foodgrade - E290): Filled with high-purity carbon dioxide that meets strict standards (usually > 99.9 % pure). This guarantees that absolutely no harmful odors, tastes, or contaminants enter the final product.
  • Beverage Industry: Professionally and continuously dispensing and carbonating large volumes of beer, soft drinks, and cider.
  • Sparkling Water Production: Ideal for busy hospitality venues, events, large corporate canteens, and professional water systems or water coolers.
  • Packaging Technology (MAP): Packaging food products under a modified atmosphere to significantly extend shelf life and freshness.
  • Agro & Industry: Supporting industrial applications such as the precise pH regulation of water streams or applications within greenhouse horticulture.
Product details

Carbon dioxide (CO₂) gas cylinder, filled with 5 kg of CO₂, specifically developed for food-grade applications (built for long-term and professional use).

Transport:

  • Fixation: Given the considerable weight (the cylinder itself plus 5 kg of liquid), solid, vertical fixation in the vehicle is mandatory. Use a professional cylinder holder or a sturdy mounting system with ratchet straps.
  • Safety: Always wear work gloves and safety shoes during loading and unloading. The valve cap must always be on the cylinder during transport.

Specific safety information for the B07 (Steel):

  • Always upright: The cylinder must be used and transported strictly upright at all times. If liquid CO₂ enters the pressure regulator while the cylinder is lying down, the regulator will immediately freeze, and irreparable damage to the closing mechanisms may occur.
  • Risk of freezing: At higher flow rates (such as during continuous tapping or welding), the risk of the valve freezing increases. Using a pressure regulator with preheating is strongly recommended for this size to ensure a constant gas flow.
  • Risk of asphyxiation: Because CO₂ is heavier than air and a 5 kg cylinder contains a large amount of gas, good ventilation in the workplace is essential. In the event of a leak in a confined space, the oxygen level can quickly drop below safe limits.
  • Avoid heat: Although steel is robust, the internal pressure remains temperature-sensitive. Do not place the cylinder near direct heat sources; this prevents the safety valve on the valve from activating unnecessarily.
