A Nemix 30 B05 gas cylinder, a professional gas cylinder with a water capacity of 5 litres, filled with a high-quality gas mixture specially developed for the food industry. The combination of 70% Nitrogen (N₂) and 30% Carbon Dioxide (CO₂) is a commonly used MAP (Modified Atmosphere Packaging) gas.

This mixture is used to significantly extend the shelf life of various food products. The CO₂ inhibits the growth of bacteria and mould, while the nitrogen acts as an inert gas to protect the product against oxidation and to prevent the packaging from collapsing. The B05 format is ideally suited for catering establishments, small-scale packaging lines, or demonstration setups.

Important info!

Key features:

  • Shelf-life extension: The specific 70/30 ratio is ideal for packaging products such as cheese, processed meats, and various vegetable mixes.
  • Food-grade standard: Guaranteed pure and safe for direct contact with food, with full traceability according to strict industry standards.
  • B05 format: Offers a good balance between a workable supply and compactness, ideal for locations where space is limited.
  • Stable mixture: The mixture is carefully blended in the cylinder. To prevent separation, it is important to store and use the cylinder in an upright position.
Product details

Nemix 30 CO₂ N₂ gas cylinder, filled with 5L CO₂ N₂, specially developed for food preservation (built for long-term and professional use).

Transport & Use:

  • Vertical fixation: The cylinder must always be stored and used in an upright position. This is essential to guarantee a constant mixing ratio of the gases. Always secure the cylinder with a chain or strap.
  • Transport: Transport the cylinder in a well-ventilated vehicle, without a connected pressure regulator and with the protection cap fitted.
  • Storage: Store in a dry, ventilated area, protected from direct heat.

Specific safety information for Nemix 30:

  • Suffocation hazard: In the event of a leak in a poorly ventilated area, CO₂ (which is heavier than air) can accumulate near the floor and displace oxygen. Always ensure good ventilation in rooms where gas cylinders are stored.
  • High-pressure system: Although this is a mixture, it is under high pressure in the cylinder. Always use a pressure regulator certified for mixed gases to ensure the correct flow and pressure to your packaging machine or dosing station.
  • Valve protection: The valve is fragile. Always fit the protection cap when the cylinder is not connected, especially during transport.
  • No cylinder heating: Thanks to the high proportion of nitrogen, this mixture is generally insensitive to freezing during normal use (for B05 volumes), unlike pure CO₂ cylinders.
