Nitrogen N₂ bundle - Food grade - B50

Please contact us to order

A Nitrogen (N₂) Food Grade bundle is an industrial gas battery consisting of 12 interconnected 50-liter nitrogen cylinders, mounted in a steel protective frame. With a total capacity of approximately 160,000 to 240,000 liters of gas (depending on the filling pressure of 200 or 300 bar), this is the most efficient solution for large-scale industrial processes.

Because this bundle is "Food Grade," the nitrogen is of the highest possible purity, free of moisture and impurities, and meets all international standards for the food industry. The gas is stored as compressed gas (not liquid), allowing the bundle to provide stable gas as long as the cylinder pressure remains above the required process pressure.

Important info!

Key features:

  • Enormous supply: With 12 cylinders in one bundle, the number of cylinder changes is kept to a minimum, which is crucial for 24/7 production processes.
  • Central connection: All cylinders are coupled to a central distribution block with a main valve, making integration into a piping network simple and safe.
  • Safety & Logistics: The robust frame protects the cylinders and is equipped with lifting eyes and forklift slots for safe internal transport.
  • Applications: Large-scale packaging lines (MAP), inerting large storage tanks and silos (to prevent oxidation/spoilage), and central nitrogen supply in breweries or dairies.
Product details

Nitrogen N₂ cylinder bundle, 12 cylinders filled with 50L of N₂ (total 600L), specially developed to help food stay fresh longer. It can also form a protective layer around the food, reducing the risk of breakage during transport. (designed for long-term and professional use).

Transport & Logistics:

  • Mechanical transport: Due to the enormous weight (often over 1,000 kg), a bundle may only be moved with a heavy-duty forklift or craneUse only the designated lifting points.
  • ADR transport: Transporting a full bundle is a strict ADR operation. This is almost exclusively performed by specialized carriers of the gas supplier who possess the correct certifications and vehicles.
  • Location choice: Ensure that the surface on which the bundle is placed is completely level and load-bearing to prevent the risk of tipping.

Specific safety information for the N₂ bundle:

  • Asphyxiation hazard (Critical): Because of the giant amount of gas in a bundle, the risk in the event of a leak is extremely high. In rooms where a bundle is located, permanent oxygen monitoring with an alarm function is mandatory.
  • Stationary setup: Bundles should preferably be placed outdoors or in a specifically designed "gas bunker" with forced ventilation to the outside.
  • Pressure management: When withdrawing large quantities of gas from a bundle, the pressure drop can be significant. Always use a professional, high-quality pressure regulator and a central distribution station designed for high flow capacity.
  • System integrity: Since the system is under high pressure, it is essential that all pipes and couplings are periodically checked for leaks (leak detection with soapy water or detection equipment).
