2 kg Carbon dioxide CO₂ - B02,7k - steel - short
A carbon dioxide (CO₂) B02,7k gas cylinder is a compact, robust industrial gas cylinder with a water capacity of 2.7 liters, filled with 2 kg of liquid CO₂. Unlike the "long" variants (B03L), this B02,7k cylinder has a short, stocky design.
The cylinder is manufactured from high-quality steel, ensuring excellent durability in work environments where the cylinder needs to be impact-resistant. As with other CO₂ cylinders, the gas is stored under saturated vapor pressure (approx. 50-60 bar). No porous mass is required, as the CO₂ remains stable in a liquid state within the cylinder.
Key features:
- Short and compact: The stocky model gives the cylinder a lower center of gravity, making it exceptionally stable. This is ideal for situations where the cylinder must be placed in a small space, a cabinet, or on a base (such as a mobile welding unit).
- Steel housing: Offers optimal protection against physical impact in an industrial environment.
- Applications: Highly suitable for mobile welding carts (MAG welding), and other industrial processes where space is limited but a reliable supply is required.

Carbon dioxide CO₂, gas cylinder, filled with 2kgCO₂, specially for welding technology and light industrial applications (made for long-term and professional use).
Transport
Transport:
- Securing: The low center of gravity makes the cylinder less prone to tipping, but during transport in a vehicle, the cylinder must always be secured with a tension strap or in a fixed bracket to prevent it from sliding.
- Protective cap: Even with this compact model, do not forget to screw the protective cap onto the valve as soon as the pressure regulator has been removed.

Safety
Specific considerations for the B02,7k (Short/Steel)
- Always upright: Despite its stable, short design, it is absolutely essential that the cylinder is always used and transported upright. In a lying position, liquid CO₂ flows into the pressure regulator, leading to acute freezing and potential defects in your equipment.
- Space-saving: Due to the "short construction," this cylinder often fits in places where the slender B03L cylinder would be too tall, such as in the lower housing of many welding machines.
- Risk of freezing: During intensive gas withdrawal, the valve can become very cold. Use caution when disconnecting; do not touch the valve and regulator with bare hands.
- Safety in case of leakage: Because CO₂ is heavier than air, it settles near the floor in the event of a leak. In rooms where this cylinder is used, ensure natural or mechanical ventilation at floor level.
