A carbon dioxide (CO₂) B07 gas cylinder is an industrial gas cylinder with a water capacity of 7 liters, filled with 5 kg of liquid CO₂. This cylinder is manufactured from robust steel and is designed for environments where a larger gas supply is required than what more compact sizes can offer.

As with other CO₂ cylinders, the gas in the B07 is stored in liquid form under saturated vapor pressure (approximately 50-60 bar at room temperature). No porous mass is required. Due to its larger volume, this cylinder is an excellent choice for users seeking a balance between a substantial usage time and a weight that is still manageable.

Important info!

Key features:

  • Higher capacity: With a 5 kg fill, the B07 is highly suitable for applications with higher consumption, significantly reducing the frequency of cylinder swaps.
  • Steel durability: The heavier steel provides maximum protection for the liquid load, making the cylinder very suitable for demanding industrial environments.
  • Applications: Widely used in the professional hospitality industry , intensive welding work (MAG welding), and industrial processes where a constant supply of CO₂ is essential.
Product details

Carbon dioxide CO₂,  gas cylinder, filled with 5kg CO₂,  , specially for welding technology and light industrial applications (made for long-term and professional use).

Transport:

  • Fixation: Given the considerable weight (the cylinder itself plus 5 kg of liquid), solid, vertical fixation in the vehicle is mandatory. Use a professional cylinder holder or a sturdy mounting system with ratchet straps.
  • Safety: Always wear work gloves and safety shoes during loading and unloading. The valve cap must always be on the cylinder during transport.

Specific safety information for the B07 (Steel)

  • Always upright: The cylinder must be used and transported strictly upright at all times. If liquid CO₂ enters the pressure regulator while the cylinder is lying down, the regulator will immediately freeze, and irreparable damage to the closing mechanisms may occur.
  • Risk of freezing: At higher flow rates (such as during continuous tapping or welding), the risk of the valve freezing increases. Using a pressure regulator with preheating is strongly recommended for this size to ensure a constant gas flow.
  • Risk of asphyxiation: Because CO₂ is heavier than air and a 5 kg cylinder contains a large amount of gas, good ventilation in the workplace is essential. In the event of a leak in a confined space, the oxygen level can quickly drop below safe limits.
  • Avoid heat: Although steel is robust, the internal pressure remains temperature-sensitive. Do not place the cylinder near direct heat sources; this prevents the safety valve on the valve from activating unnecessarily.
