A Nitrogen (N₂) B50 gas cylinder is a large, professional industrial gas cylinder with a water capacity of 50 liters, filled with nitrogen under high pressure (200 or 300 bar).
Nitrogen is stored in the B50 as a gas under high pressure. Because it is not liquid at room temperature, the gas remains stable under all normal operating conditions. The B50 is the standard for users who require a high degree of continuity; the large capacity in this cylinder ensures a significantly longer operating time than smaller models.

- Inert (non-reactive): Nitrogen hardly reacts with other substances under normal conditions, making it extremely suitable for preventing oxidation, fires, or explosions.

Specific safety information for Nitrogen (N₂)
- Suffocation hazard (Priority 1): A B50 cylinder contains an enormous amount of nitrogen gas under high pressure. A leak in an enclosed or poorly ventilated space can drop oxygen levels below lethal limits in a very short time. Permanent ventilation is essential.
- High-pressure system: Working with 200 or 300 bar requires professional pressure regulators specifically certified for this inlet pressure. Always check the condition of hoses and connections.
- No liquid phase: Unlike CO₂ cylinders, a nitrogen cylinder does not necessarily need to be upright to deliver gas. However, strict vertical fixation remains the safety standard to prevent damage to the valve and accidental tipping.
- Valve protection: The B50 is heavy and long; the valve is very vulnerable if it falls. Always wear the protective cap when the cylinder is not connected.
