Product details
Weldmix 2% CO₂ gas cylinder, filled with 10L of AR CO₂, specially developed for welding stainless steel (designed for long-term and professional use).
Transport
Transport & Use:
- Vertical fixation: Always secure the B10 cylinder upright in a cylinder holder or with a sturdy strap, both on a welding cart and in your company van. This prevents unnecessary damage to the valve.
- Transport: Never transport the cylinder with a connected pressure regulator or hose. Ensure that the cargo area of your vehicle is ventilated.
- Storage: Preferably store the cylinders in a dry and well-ventilated environment.
Safety
Specific safety information for Weldmix 2%:
- Asphyxiation hazard: Argon and CO₂ are heavier than air. In small, confined spaces (such as a container or a basement), this mixed gas can accumulate near the floor and displace oxygen. Always ensure adequate ventilation.
- Pressure regulator: Use a pressure regulator specifically designed for Argon mixtures. Because the mixture is under high pressure, a robust regulator is required that can accurately reduce the pressure for the torch (flow meter).
- Valve protection: The B10 cylinder is stable, but the valve remains vulnerable. Always screw the protective cap onto the cylinder after use or during transport.
- No contamination: Keep the cylinder and the couplings free of oil and grease. Although this mixture is inert, contamination on the connection can lead to impurities in the weld seam.
