Product details
Weldmix 2% CO₂ gas cylinder, filled with 50L of AR CO₂, specially developed for welding stainless steel (designed for long-term and professional use).
Transport
Transport & Use:
- Mechanical transport: Due to the weight (approx. 60–80 kg depending on filling pressure), manual lifting is prohibited. Always use a mechanical aid when loading and unloading.
- Fixation: For transport in a vehicle, securing with certified ratchet straps at two heights is mandatory to prevent tipping.
- ADR regulations: For commercial transport, the B50 is subject to ADR guidelines (UN 1956, Compressed gas, n.o.s., 2.2). Ensure you have the correct documentation and safety equipment.
Safety
Specific safety information for Weldmix 2% (B50):
- Asphyxiation hazard: With a large B50 cylinder, the risk of oxygen displacement in the event of a leak is real, especially in confined spaces. Always ensure active ventilation or source extraction in the welding workshop.
- High-pressure system: Working with 200 or 300 bar requires an industrial-grade pressure regulator/flow meter. Regularly check that the seals on the connections are in good condition.
- Mechanical safety: A full B50 is heavy and has a high center of gravity. For internal transport, always use a robust cylinder trolley with a chain restraint.
- Valve protection: The B50 is long; the valve is extremely vulnerable if the cylinder tips over. Always keep the protective cap on when the cylinder is not in use or is being transported.
