Weldmix 2% AR CO₂ - B20

Veuillez nous contacter pour commander

A Weldmix 2% B20 gas cylinder is a medium-to-large industrial gas cylinder with a water capacity of 20 liters, filled to 200 bar (sometimes 300 bar) with a high-quality welding mixture. This 2% CO₂ addition to the Argon is the gold standard for MAG welding thin steel and stainless steel structures, where the goal is a spatter-free weld and excellent penetration.

The B20 is a "workhorse" in the workshop. It offers a significant gas supply that lasts longer than the B10, while remaining manageable enough to be placed on a welding cart or used on-site. The gas is stored as a stable mixed gas under high pressure.

Important info!

Key features:

  • Higher autonomy: With a B20 cylinder, you can weld for significantly longer before a change is needed, which limits downtime in the production process.
  • Optimal arc: The 98/2 ratio provides the best balance between arc stability and the aesthetics of the weld seam on thin-walled material.
  • Professional usability: This format is widely used in professional metalworking companies and larger welding stations.
  • High-pressure system: The pressure on the manometer is a reliable indicator of the remaining supply; you will notice in time when the cylinder is nearly empty.
Product details

Weldmix 2% CO₂ gas cylinder, filled with 20L of AR CO₂, specially developed for welding stainless steel (designed for long-term and professional use).

Transport & Use:

  • Fixation: Because of the weight of a B20, it is essential to secure it in a vehicle with ratchet straps at two heights.
  • Transport: Always transport without a pressure regulator and with the metal protective cap on the cylinder.
  • Storage: Preferably store the cylinders vertically in a dry, well-ventilated area, protected from direct heat.

Specific safety information for Weldmix 2% (B20):

  • Asphyxiation hazard: Argon is heavier than air and displaces oxygen. When using a B20 cylinder in a relatively small space (such as an enclosed welding booth), good mechanical ventilation is an absolute safety requirement.
  • Pressure regulator: Use only a regulator for mixed gas. Since the cylinder is under high pressure, a good flow meter is essential to correctly set the gas consumption (liters per minute).
  • Mechanical safety: Although the B20 is more stable than smaller cylinders, the weight when filled is substantial. Use a proper welding cart with chain fixation to prevent tipping.
  • No grease/oil: Ensure a clean environment. Oil or grease at the valve connection can lead to contamination of the gas, which directly affects the quality of your weld.
