Oxygen O₂ bundle, 12 gas cylinders filled with 50L each, total 600L of O₂, specially designed for the food industry (made for long-term and professional use).

Transport & Logistics:

  • Mechanical transport: Due to the high weight (often 1,000+ kg), the bundle may only be moved by certified personnel using a heavy forklift or crane.
  • ADR Regulations: The transport of a full oxygen bundle is a complex ADR operation (UN 1072). This is carried out exclusively by specialized gas suppliers who possess the correct certifications and vehicles.
  • Surface: The bundle must be placed on a completely flat, load-bearing, and stable surface to eliminate any risk of tipping.

Specific safety information for the Oxygen Bundle:

  • Fire hazard (Extremely Critical): Oxygen is a powerful oxidizer. The potential energy within a bundle is enormous. A leak in a confined space immediately increases the risk of fire. Permanent oxygen monitoring in the storage area is legally required in many cases or highly recommended.
  • Grease-free protocol: With a bundle system, the "oxygen clean" standard is crucial. All piping, pressure regulators, and valves in the distribution system must be guaranteed grease-free and specifically designed for oxygen useNo form of lubricant, oil, or grease is permitted.
  • Stationary installation: Bundles are almost exclusively placed outdoors or in a specifically ventilated technical room, away from flammable gases (such as propane or acetylene) and combustible materials.
  • Leak detection: Due to the scale of the system, a periodic maintenance and inspection protocol for the piping network and connection points is strictly necessary.

Safety tip: When commissioning an oxygen bundle, an official Risk Inventory and Evaluation (RI&E) for the entire installation is mandatory. Ensure that the main valve of the bundle can be shut off immediately and safely in an emergency from a distance or from outside the danger zone.
