Oxygen O₂ - B05
207,17 €
An Oxygen (O₂) B05 act, industrial gas cylinder with a water capacity of 5 liters, filled with oxygen under high pressure (usually 200 bar).
Unlike inert gases such as nitrogen, oxygen is a highly reactive gas. It is not flammable by itself, but it promotes and accelerates combustion in an extreme manner. The B05 cylinder is handy and mobile, making it ideal for small-scale applications or mobile test setups.
Important info!
Key features:
- Strong oxidizing capacity: Oxygen is not flammable itself, but it is a powerful oxidizer that violently stimulates and sustains combustion processes. It reacts with almost all elements.
- Acceleration of combustion: In an oxygen-rich environment, materials (even those that normally burn with difficulty, such as certain metals) burn much faster, at higher temperatures, and with a greater energy output than in normal air.
- Extreme reaction with oils and greases: In contact with pure oxygen, oils, greases, and lubricants can ignite spontaneously and explosively. This requires that oxygen equipment remains absolutely grease-free at all times.
- Appearance: At room temperature, oxygen is a colorless, odorless, and tasteless gas.
Product details
Oxygen O₂ gas cylinder, filled with 5L of O₂, specially designed for fish pond oxygenation, chemical processes, welding, etc. (built for long-term and professional use).
Transport
Transport & Use:
- Vertical fixation: The B5 cylinder is compact but must always be secured vertically in a holder to prevent it from falling over and damaging the valve.
- Safety cap: Always use the protective cap during transport. A damaged valve on a 200-bar oxygen cylinder can lead to very dangerous situations due to the massive pressure release.
- Storage: Store the cylinders in a dry, well-ventilated room, strictly separated from flammable gases (such as acetylene or propane) and flammable materials (such as oils and greases).

Safety
Specific safety information for Oxygen (O₂):
- Fire hazard (Critical): Oxygen increases the flammability of almost every material. Even a small leak can cause textiles, grease, or lubricants to spontaneously ignite. Keep the area around the oxygen cylinder absolutely free of grease and oil.
- Work grease-free: Never use grease or oil on the valve or pressure regulator. In contact with high-pressure oxygen, this can lead to explosive combustion (oxygen explosion).
- Ventilation: Ensure a well-ventilated room. Although oxygen is not toxic, enrichment of the oxygen concentration in the air significantly increases the flammability of the environment.
- Pressure regulator: Use only a pressure regulator specifically certified for Oxygen.
- Golden Rule for Oxygen: Oxygen and grease/oil are a lethal combination. Ensure your hands, tools, and cylinder connections are completely free of any trace of grease.
